Welcome, welcome, welcome everyone!!

If this is your first visit to the website, or if you are yet to visit our studio, then please abandon everything you think you know about conventional dance studio's because Born to Dance is quite different. Born to Dance is all about you. We are not a school, we don't offer certification, syllabus or curriculum. We are, simply, a place to dance. In our studio, music is our life-blood, the drums our heart-beat, the bass-line our pulse. The rhythms are our guides and our invitation to surrender. The instrumentation is the pathway that leads to our discovery of the melodies, harmonies and songs within our selves. We encourage you to find a whole new you through music and dance.

We will be your guides and all we ask of you is that, you abandon your every day at the door and step into our studio ready to free yourself to the experience. A bit like Alice falling down the rabbit-hole into Wonderland! At times, you may forget who you are, where you are and exactly what you came for but the thrill you experience as you master the steps and the joy you feel as your body moves with the music will confirm you’re in the right place, the place where that rhythmic instinct in all of us can dance with the music living in our souls. We are all Born to Dance!

 

At Born to Dance we are committed to providing you with the very best LIVE ZUMBA experience. At Born to Dance we NEVER EVER use a DVD or filmed recording of any kind to teach your class. All of our classes are instructed by me, DAWN MARRON. I have been a professional dancer and tutor all of my life and I was one of the first ZUMBA instructors in New Zealand. I use my many years of performance and teaching experience to ensure you get top-notch, first class instruction. My classes are brought to you EXACTLY the way ZUMBA intended, in a fun-filled, energy pumping, smile and laughter filled party with a PASSIONATE, LICENCED INSTRUCTOR who leads and dances WITH you through the steps and combinations, sharing passion, joy, inspiration and motivation. COMMUNITY ZUMBA CLASSES - $2 COMMUNITY ZUMBA IS BACK!!!!! From Tuesday 2nd February all 10.00am Zumba classes have gone back to $2!! ENJOY!!!

ZUMBA GOLD is the same package of laughing, smiling Zumba fun but at a slower pace. This class has been designed and adapted specifically to meet the needs of our older population who we know are still young at heart, but it is also great for those who find our regular Zumba classes just a little too challenging or those who have been away from exercise for a while. It's also great for those with conditions of the hips, knees or back who may find that regular Zumba compromises their comfort. It may also be done in a chair or with a chair to hold on to for stability if standing for long periods is difficult.

PLEASE BE ASSURED THAT ALL ZUMBA INSTRUCTORS WHO TEACH AT BORN TO DANCE ARE LICENCED ZUMBA INSTRUCTORS AND ARE LISTED ON THE WEBSITE WWW.ZUMBA.COM.
